Complex event processing is a new software paradigm focusing on the realtime processing of event streams. An event stream is a sequence of application-specific temporal data which has to filtered, correlated, and aggregated, dependent on the application context. The aim of event processing is to provide decision makers relevant KPIs in a realtime manner. Our software also provides functionality to detect trends and patterns in the underlying data which can be utilized to proactively control your business processes.

According to recent studies, CEP will play a fundamental role in the heterogeneous information landscapes of companies, in particular against the background of SOA and event-driven architectures. History of RTM Realtime Monitoring

RTM Realtime Monitoring GmbH originates from a research project supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Seeger, one of the leading experts in database and information systems. The goal of this successful project has been the development of unique processing and analysis techniques for data arriving continuously at high volumes. Our innovative technologies developed in this project fit well with the demanding requirements of today’s CEP applications. We presented a stable research prototype at several premium conferences as well as at CeBIT 2007.

With the aim to become a major provider of CEP solutions, the team of the DFG project has founded RTM Realtime Monitoring GmbH. The development of RTM software is based on our comprehensive research results and industrial feedback. The founding stage has been supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the European Social Fund.
