Complex Event Processing in iX

January 2010: In issue 02/2010 of iX - Magazin für professionelle Informationstechnik Prof. Seeger gives an overview of complex event processing. By means of example queries he illustrates how developers can work with CEP in practice. The queries are based on our by temporal constructs extended SQL dialect, which is easy to learn for SQL experienced developers.

The article also addresses the central aspect of the reference time for the queries. Only when using application time, deterministic and reproducible results can be guaranteed. Using system time delivers even for the slightest delays non-deterministic results. Read more in the article...

9th Expert Meeting ED-BPM
